Windward Island Airways (WINAIR) launched its new destinations in Santo Domingo and Curacao last week on November 20th and 22nd


The WINAIR team, lead by Mr. Michael Cleaver President and CEO and Mr. Roberto Gibbs Vice President and CFO went to its new destinations Sant0 Domingo and Curacao to introduce their new flights that will be starting December 15th.


In cooperation with El Dorado Travel team in Sant0 Domingo, WINAIR had their product Launch in conjunction with the 30th year anniversary of El Dorado Travel. “After careful planning and preparation, WINAIR is pleased to begin their expansion in the Dominican Republic by offering flights from Santo Domingo to Sint Maarten and Curacao.” says Michael Cleaver. WINAIR had meetings with various stakeholders in Santo Domingo including the Dutch ambassador in Santo Domingo.

WINAIR provides flights for the royal couple

PJIA, November 16, 2013. On Thursday November 14 WINAIR operated several press charters and one flight from St.Maarten to Saba transporting His Majesty King Willem Alexander and Her Highness Queen Maxima of the Netherlands. The WINAIR aircraft was piloted by Captain Roger Hodge and Captain Aldrin Richards and departed St.Maarten at 9 AM and returned with Royal family and their entourage at 4PM. It was a smooth and efficient executed operation with both flights being on time. This allowed the Royals to fulfill their duties both in Saba and St.Maarten.

Windward Islands Airways (WINAIR) announces new service to Santo Domingo, Curaçao, Anguilla and Tortola

The airline is adding ATR 42 aircraft to its fleet 


Phillipsburg, November 11th 2013 – Windward Island Airways International (WINAIR) announced today that it will be adding additional aircraft to its fleet and 4 new destinations to its route map starting December 15th.


Soon the airline will receive leased ATR 42 aircraft with a capacity of 48 passengers. These ATR aircraft will be flying two of the new destinations that WINAIR will be adding to its routemap on December 15th, which are Curacao and Santo Domingo. Anguilla and Tortola will be serviced with the de Havilland Twin Otter aircraft, making the schedule as follows:
